Hi! Welcome to The Curated Tolerance Podcast. I started planning this 3 part project back in January and envisioned being able to sit down with people in their homes to have conversations around topics related to gentrification and how they are being impacted. COVID-19 has changed many aspects related to how I'm carrying out this project and one of them is having to conduct these interviews digitally. I have however, always wanted this podcast to be conversational, loose, and anti-professionalism. If you're looking for some NPR shit go somewhere else.
I sat down (via Zoom) with NC based photographer Phill Loken to discuss his experiences living in both Raleigh and Chapel Hill and how the changes to these environments have impacted his creative process. Along with some discussions on competition, being a Black person with tattoos, and NC rappers.
If you'd prefer to watch the zoom video of this conversation here's the link!
Be sure to follow Phills work!
