Everything Is Soon
All my stories are front porch conversations. They don't take you far, just around in circles, bright thoughts dancing like bonfire sparks caught in updrafts, pulled with the wind. I'm not good with history, I only remember my own up to the moment of whatever came before me. Just don't forget where this tale began, when the sun came out and the shadows fought back. This home took another beating, lost another shingle to the storm, and tomorrow morning will bring back the melt. It's spring under all of this, growth just weeks out of reach. Even when nothing is here, be sure that everything is soon.
