Adventures in Library Land: Fashion kills... your schedule

Hey folks. I'm running behind on this week's comic page. In fact, I haven't gotten much work done on it yet. The reason... I got the job at our local library that I applied for last month and... I start next week! Eeeeep! I'm so excited, but also going a little crazy.

I've been working from home for over eleven years now and getting by wearing jeans and comfy shirts. This new job has a business casual dress code which means I've been frantically shopping for the beginnings of a new wardrobe. I've also been sorting through my jewelry and cleaning years of tarnish off various pieces, as well as trying to figure out how makeup works. (Thank goodness for YouTube.) I'm forty, you'd think I'd know this by now. But I was never interested in this dress-up stuff and it wasn't required for my previous jobs. I'm swimming in unfamiliar waters. Someone throw me a floaty!

At this point, aside from getting my hair trimmed and locating some pantyhose (and maybe a pair of black pumps), I think I'm all set. But all this frantic running has set my schedule back a bit.

As a result I'll have the sketch and possibly the inks up for you on Thursday. The final, colored page will go up Friday evening. I hope that's okay.

As for my job schedule, I was expecting to work Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but I've just received an email asking if I'd be willing to do Fridays instead of Wednesdays. They need someone to do children's programming on Fridays so... I may be wearing the librarian hat Thursdays - Sundays. I'll know in a day or so. Either way it should be fun!

Thanks folks!
