We first start out with our cover feature, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, as he gives us an exclusive interview about his new book Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America and why it’s needed at this particular time in our country. From there we branch out and explore various historical elements of Black culture and their connection to the globe.
Then we welcomed the newest member to the staff, photographer Camara Clayton, by sending him to South Carolina to talk more about the annual Black Cowboy Festival. The founders of the festival were pleased to talk about Black cowboy history and its connection to Gambia’s Fulani Tribes and the photographs turned out amazing! We cannot wait to work with him more.
