Figure class updates.
As you know, I am taking a class at The Loveland Atelier. I get to paint a live model for 5 sessions at 3 hours each. That's 15 hours for one pose. It's great for me to slow down, measure, and get in a lot of brush mileage. While I am not really learning anything new yet, I am remembering how easy things can be when they are done a certain way. Using a limited palette of only 4 colors makes color harmony really easy. We are using the site size method of viewing the model and your painting simultaneously from a selected position so that both images appear the same size. This makes for more accurate drawing. Why have I made things harder on myself all these years?!! This picture is from Day 2. I will keep posting my progress every week, as I only go on Tuesdays. Thanks for looking!
