First marks of a painting

After I have made a drawing, I paint the back of the paper, then place the paper on the painting surface.  Using a stylus, I then outline the drawing and the pressure of outlining leaves these contour lines on the surface. I showed this beginning step to some fellow painters and they all encouraged me to leave this as is.  I decided to take their advice and I transferred the drawing onto a second surface for further development. The painting shown here was put in a solo show of mine and sold the first night.  I guess sometimes, less is more.
