First Wedding Shoot of 2018! (Same Day Edit)
So filming in -30°C... yeah, my fingers were frozen from bringing equipment from the car to the hotel LOL. Canadian winters are too much ><" .. I remember this time last year, I was lucky enough to be in Hong Kong for exchange and dodge the cold season ^__^" Ahh, I really miss being in Asia/traveling, but it's okayyy. One more semester, and I'll be graduating :') I honestly can't wait haha. There's a lot of things I want to do in life, and I'm excited to start and see where it'll take me.

But yeah, I just wanted to share this wedding video with you because I feel like I don't really share a lot of professional work. What you guys see on YouTube is more of the "kid side" of me LOL just games and silly travel vlogs haha. As much as I like making those videos on YouTube, I really enjoy using my skills to capture & document special moments for other people too. It's even crazier when I see couples crying after watching the same-day-edits / having them (and their guests) come up to express their amazement and gratitude for a job well-done. It really gives you a sense of their appreciation, and makes you feel really happy that you could do that for them :)

Tbh I never really knew that I'd get into wedding videography. Six years ago, it kind of just happened out of coincidence/luck, and now I can see it being something that I'll be pursuing long-term. Even though the days can be exhausting (15 hrs), it's still a lot of fun. Everyone is happy & at their best, so you have an enjoyable time throughout the day. You also get to meet a lot of cool people, and some of them end up becoming good friends ^__^ Wedding shoots can also be stressful, but it's an environment where you can constantly challenge yourself to try new things, while learning how to think on your feet & work within time-limits.

This weekend is another same day edit! I actually don't mind the pressure because it helps me get things done LOL. I wish I could work like that at home... haha that way, I'd be pushing out YouTube content soooo fast x) but self-discipline is harder than external pressure. I do plan on posting more regularly though (especially after school ends)!

2018 will be a year of self-improvement and stepping out of my comfort zone. I look forward to continuing to improve my videography skills, and to incorporate that into better YouTube content for you guys! I really do want to make more cinematic films on YouTube, and make each video a cool experience for you to watch! Whether it's gaming videos or travel vlogs, I want each video to being visually appealing xD

Anyway, that was just a short update of what's been going on through my mind. I start my internship next Monday and will be living in Toronto (cuz commute life is too rough), so that'll be a nice change =)

I hope the New Year has been treating all of you well too, and wishing you all the best of luck and success in 2018! Be brave, believe in yourself, and work hard towards your dreams!
