I started making flower crowns a few years ago as part of my thesis. My thesis was an interactive performance art piece, and one of the main characters was a reject-society, live in the forest type. She wore a flower crown of daisies and orange flowers and reeds, and gave out flower crowns to the audience to wear as a sort of magical thinking cap tiara that encouraged them to be their true selves and feel playful and free.
This is how I feel every time I make a flower crown for someone -- playful, free, and like I am infusing it with the deepest and most positive magic of nature and joy.
I try to bring this feeling to my flower crown workshops and definitely infuse this energy into flower crowns I make for others.
