Vienna, Austria 2018 - along the Danube. I do not know the artist, I do not know the name of this piee of art, but it captured my eyes and imagination at the time. At first it looks like it's just a random collection of iron pieces, but as you look at it from afar you can almost see them turn into humanoid shapes (but then again it appears our brain is caibrated to see human shapes in evrything, this is our way of differentiating friend from foe). What I also like about this image is the juxtaposition of colours.

Form is something we recognise and try to distinguish every day. We assign forms to things we see and things we do not, things that exist and things that do not in our own perception of reality. We have to assign form or it slips pasts us, as if it was air, and yet nothing has form in the grand scheme of things.

We try to create something familiar, something our brain will reognise, can identify, can put depth/height/width to it, or otherwise we struggle to conceptualise what it is we speak of. And yet, what you see, is it the same thing I see? Does this image for example have the same shades of yellow for you as for me? Is the brown a reddishbrown or is it more like a dark brown? Is the tree the same colour, brown, or is it a darker shade of purple, or what we call burgundy? Ia slo wonder if your view of the statues has a human quality or is it just part of our imagination? Have you ever mistaken a branch for a snake on the floor?

And if you could change anything about you what form would you take? Would you be pleased to remain the same as you are now, or would you want to change something? Does your own view of who you are seem pleasant enough to expereinces or do you still wish things were different?

If we talk physics we are all just a bunch of particles held together by energy, and actually there is more space between atoms than matter, therefore you can be any form you want as long as you can manipulate your atoms just so, to make them shift to a different position. In the same way as the sculptor has manged to manipulate the iron into a form that no longer reselmbles the initial state of the substance.

Form, shape, design, cut, mold, embodiment, figure,formation.....
