Foundation participate in Press Conference on Sept. 23, 2016 at City Hall, calling for reforms
On Sept. 23, 2016, The Foundation participated in a press conference at City Hall, with other exonerees and advocates, prior to a legislative hearing at the NYC Council. The goal was to get the NYPD to disclose its policies regarding videotaping interrogations and identification procedures, as part of additional transparency, because the NYPD has refused to share it's policies along with the data collected connected thereto. A further goal was to try to help propel forward efforts at getting wrongful conviction prevention legislation passed in Albany, such as video-taping interrogations, identification reform, and a Commission On Prosecutor Conduct.
