January has started off relatively quiet. I've been enjoying some chill time & catching up on reading some books, playing some video games & petting some cats.
Work-wise, I'm mainly in "chill and plan" stage, tying up loose ends, working on my 2020 business plan, and charting my course through this coming year. I've been working on the designs for my three Kickstarter t-shirts, which I will post soon when they are finalized. I have some environments for my video game "Astronaut: The Best" that are nearly finished. And I have art in two gallery shows opening this Thursday in Capitol Hill (Seattle).
I'm one of four featured artists in the "Multiple Directions" exhibit at True Love Tattoo & Art Gallery. I'll have ten paintings on display, including the seven paintings from my "Little Mermaid" series that I completed for my MFA thesis back in 2015. They've never been seen in person outside of my graduate show in Connecticut. I think they are still some of my favorite paintings. I'll post more soon about the making of these pieces.
I will also have four pieces in this 96 person group show- Ghost Gallery's 13th Annual Holiday Mini Art Exhibit, including the only two unsold originals from my 2019 Herbal Zodiac Series.
