If you love it, please say it :D I need to know. This is the first time i do something like that... And feel free to share it with your friends of course ! I'd be flattered :)
But before anything else, i've translated the story for my friends around the world.
A few days ago, my dad told me a memory of his childhood. It was one of his first math lesson and the teacher told them some definitions they (pupils) have to memorize. My dad remember one of them especially because he misunderstood it. He mixed two words :"engendre" with "enjambe". The words sound a bit the same but don't mean the same thing AT ALL. Engendre means : generate. Enjamber means : step over.
So the definition was, for him : a point, which is moving, steps over a line.
My dad, obviously, didn't understand the definition :D he thought that the point, with his little legs, steps over a line.
Years later, my dad became a great mathematician. I went to his thesis and didn't understand a word. I even slept most of the time he talked. But now, i KNOW that this day, my dad tried to prove that :
A point, which is moving, steps over a line !
I've loved this story that much that i immediately wanted to illustrate it. That took me a week and i think i love the result. :)
I hope you love it too :)
I love you.
See you soon
