A happy discovery
I came across this bottle of 2013 Savigny-lès-Beaune , 1st Cru from the Aux Guettes Climat (or site, terroir) by producer Dom Dufouleur and sons. It's a very good, not great, but very good representation of a Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Burgundy. I found it at BevMo with a price tag of $69 (a little pricey) but with BevMo's discount table of 40% off it became mine for a decent $41! It paired very well with our light dinner of duck pâté, cheese, crackers and veggies. Search for it at BevMo, it may still be there.
