HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Ok. and So.

two words I use far to often to start off my messages and posts to you guys. but really? they just seem to help me ease in to what I need to share, like pumping the breaks before pinning the gas pedal to the floor. make sense. I hoped so. with that...

ok. so, first of all, HAPPY FRIGGIN' NEW YEAR!!! I trust that 2015 was a great year for everyone: inspired and sensational, educational and contemplative. whether you broke new ground on some emotional front, adapted to things that maybe didn't quite go as planned, or whether you surprised yourself and accomplished more than you ever dreamed possible, I'm sure that deep down we can all say that if nothing else, over the past 12 months we've all grown in some capacity or another and that, my friends, is more valuable than any resolution you could ever make, let alone keep.

it's easy for me to lose sight of the impact this whole thing is having because so much of it occurs in the virtual realm. the posts, the comments, likes, shares, even the interactions between those of you who have forged friendships through this wild adventure, all of it tends to get a bit abstract. however, this past weekend, during the acoustic brunch at Seven Steps Up, I was presented with this gift that a good number of you contributed to. an actual gift. a present. wrapped and everything! when I opened it and realized all that had gone into putting it together, this connection with all of you was anything but abstract. it was very real. tangible. ultimately rewarding. and as I see so many of you still here after 2 years, through all of our financial ups and downs, it just means so much that I can offer nothing but my deepest gratitude. with that, I just want to say "thank YOU!!" to ALL of you. thank you for giving me one of the greatest jobs in the world. I get to be me and share it with you. how cool is that??

I'll let you get back to your exciting New Year and tell you that 2016 is going to be something else! for all of us. stick around. the DFRSE is about to get really good.
