High Heel Skates, Adam Rippon and Bomb Cyclones - 5x5 - Five topics, five minutes.
Hey, everyone. For today's video, I'm going with a little bit of a different format here. I'm trying this new thing called "5 for 5."

This is where I pick 5 topics to talk about for one minute each. This is going to be stuff that's relevant to skating, health and fitness, personal stuff, updates on topics I've discussed before.

First up, the bomb cyclone.

Winter has only just begun, and it's already the worst.

Have you seen what was happening in Boston? With the storm surge, and the ice... EFF THAT. Have you seen where it was snowing in Florida? I'm so over it.

For my next topic, as you may recall, back in SkateChat 018 -

https://youtu.be/WaywTXBnFBY - SkateChat on Ice, I went to the Toyota Sportsplex with my friend Melissa to do some ice skating to raise money to send some Olympic families to South Korea for the upcoming games.

We talked about Adam Rippon who was born in Scranton, PA and calls Clarks Summit home. He's a US National Champion, a Four Continents Champion, and Two-Time Junior World Champion -- and now, an Olympian.

9to5Mac has news of a new version of the DJI Osmo Mobile, which I tried out a few months ago in SkateChat 15 - https://youtu.be/cA_QydNgXfs - thanks to my friend John Edwards.

I really liked the device, as far as gimbals go, but it did have it's share of odd quirks that left me a little unimpressed. And the price was pretty outrageous. On my budget, it was far too costly for what I got out of it.

Well, DJI has come out with a redesign called the Osmo Mobile 2, featuring an integrated battery with up to 15 hours of life, a new button layout and designed to be much lighter than its predecessor. It also gives you the option of holding your phone in portrait mode.

But perhaps the most exciting thing about this redesign is that will retail for $129, which is a significant savings over the previous version.

I just can't wrap my head around this next one... High heel skates.

This story comes from The Sun, who writes that fashion house Saint Laurent have created this monster hybrid of fashion and athletic wear.

At a price of about £1,995 -- which is about $2705.46 US, I'm glad I can't afford these, like, ever.

But if you'd like to see someone who CAN wrap her head around high heel skates, check out Marawa Wamp's instagram page. https://www.instagram.com/marawa/

Definitely go follow her, because she's amazing. This girl skates better in high heels than some people do in regular quads, and I'm just here for that.

With Bitcoin taking up a large portion of the news cycle lately, cryptocurrencies and digital currencies are in a bit of a heyday. But what makes this new one interesting to me?

Sweatcoin is an Android and iOS app that tracks your steps and converts them into Sweatcoins. You can then use Sweatcoins to purchase things like gift cards, FitBits, iPhones and other gadgets.

The app keeps constant track of your movements via GPS, which can be a huge drain on your battery, but that's important to understand because it's not a pedometer. You actually have to go outside and move around. The treadmill workout won't count.

Might be worth looking into if you need a little extra motivation to get in shape.
