From there, a temporary white background is added and it's colored. I usually have two backgrounds that I switch back and forth to make sure everything is colored properly. A black one to ensure no light colors went out of ink lines (like skin, eyes, jeans, etc.) and the white one to ensure the lines look clean and the dark colors (like hair, belt, and shirt) are all inside the ink lines.
