And just what am I doing here? Well, let's consider this bit of dialogue
"Hey Dave, I'd really like to jump in and support you and George with the stories and the audio books, but I just can't figure out a way to do $5 per story, for a total of $10 per month."
Here's the deal. I don't want that kind of budgetary problem to limit those who would otherwise be supporters of my Patreon from jumping in and helping out. So, I'm going to share something about Patreon that not a lot of people know about, but you might find it enlightening and helpful.
Here's the secret: You can limit your monthly pledge maximum and still get Pledge Rewards.
That's right, folks, you can set a limit on how much you give to a Patreon per month.
How do you do this?
1. When you click on the "Become a Patron" button to the left of this message, you will be asked to set the amount you wish to pledge, and then you will be asked to select a Pledge Reward based on the amount you wish to pledge.
2. Once you click on the "Continue to Confirmation" button at the bottom of the page, you will be given the option to set the maximum dollar amount you wish to give per month. You can set this limit to any value that it not lower than your pledge value from the previous page.
So, if you set your pledge value to $5 on the previous page, you can now set your monthly maximum to $5.
3. Once you have set your monthly maximum, you can then Confirm your pledge and start enjoying being a patron of the arts.
The best part about setting a monthly maximum limit is that, even if you only give $5 per month, you can still enjoy the benefits of the $5 per creation Pledge Reward.
I hope that you have found this short guide helpful. Yes, I realize that I am telling you how to get more out of me per month for less total money, but I'm hoping you will also remember that when you are able to give more and consider upping your monthly maximum if you are ever able to do so.
Happy patronage to all!
