Hurricane Blanca formed down in Southern Mexico and came within 50 miles of the Baja Peninsula in early June. This was the earliest recorded hurricane since 1973 to make landfall. Thankfully we still had colder water temperatures so when it arrived the winds were cut down to tropical storm force at 50 knots. I learned how to properly prepare for a wind event as well as get all my survival gear organized. And I actually had everything, imagine that! I am now finishing up my motor problems and I should be heading north in a few weeks!
Thanks for following me on my journey Patrons, you really are the wind in my sails and I couldn't do it without you!
