I have to tell you the story behind this song...

A few years ago I sang this song, 'Pride (In the Name of Love)' by U2, at a church in Scottsdale, AZ as a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. As I was singing, there was a video being played showing clips of the life and inspiration of Dr. King. There was also a dear African American friend of mine who was sitting in the audience. About mid-way through the song I saw tears running down his face with the emotion of the moment. Needless to say, it was extremely difficult to finish the song! After I got done singing the song he met me on the side of the stage and we embraced in tears for several minutes. It was a moment I will never forget. I hope this song and the life of Martin Luther King inspires you to love deeper and live life to it's fullest. - Michael
