Inspiration for color in paintings
I often get the color inspiration from the strangest things. As I painted this little palette knife oil painting, I kept looking at my drink and noting how nicely it contrasted with the bold colors of the English lavender. No wonder it's all over my painting!!

I painted this at Lavender Lake in Independence Oregon. Right next to me Karen Whitworth was painting, while her children played in the between the lavender rows. I have a video I will upload once I get home of all the wonderful sounds around us...bees and birds, with the slight brease rustling through the blooms.

I took some pictures of my in between stages, that I will also upload with a few instructions for my patrons only. Thank you so much for joining my journey!
