Intel Core i7-6700K 'Skylake' test results: 4-8% faster than Core i7-4790K | KitGuru
Well this is somewhat disappointing. The plan still goes ahead of course, but I was hoping for at least 10-20%. It seemed like they were really hyping Skylake. Long gone are the days of 20-40% increases from tic to toc. It will still be a massive step up from my current i5-2500k. Sandy Bridge really was a miracle. My first serious PC build happened in 2012 on Sandy Bridge.
