Hi,

My name is Ken Robinson.

I’m the creator and writer of the projects Double Edged Sword and La Rouge Hotte you see here.

Since I’m not an artist, I’ve put together a fantastic team that is doing the great art for these projects. I don’t want these artists to be the proverbial starving artists; so I’m making this page to pay them what they deserve.

Besides the comics and graphic novels there will be computer games, novels, music videos, reality shows, costumes, and hopefully all leading to web or TV series and maybe even feature films.

You can see the wide array of rewards available for your patronage. Everything from digital and hard copies of the comics and posters to cameo appearances or a bloody messy death in the comics to build your own monster options.

Double Edged Sword Synopsis

Double Edged Sword is a teenage dramantasy (drama fantasy) set around Julie, a teenage girl, who doesn’t know she has been hunting evil monstrosities for over 1800 years.

Julie believes she is an average teenager, okay a little more volatile than most, who has to deal with todays pressures with all the head and heartaches that being a teenager entails; including dealing with abuse, drugs, and other tragedies that happen to the kids around her.

The part of her life she has been made to forget is that she is a monster hunter who has been hunting down various types of evil monstrosities around the world since they killed her family over 1800 years ago. They maybe just folktales today but they were unstoppable bloodthirsty murderers of the day.

She has a no nonsense marine mentality as she hunts them down and does her best to dispatch them back to the hell she believes they came from. That is until she meets a handsome monster who figuratively rips her heart out of her chest and then she literally takes his breath away, or so she thinks.

Diana, her arch enemy, is making an army of evil monstrosities by experimenting on existing types of monsters from around the world and throughout time trying to find the perfect killers.

Julies forgotten and savage past begins to intrude on her present in the form of nightmares that continue to grow in intensity until she begins sleepwalking, endangering herself and others around her. Her foster mom sends her to counseling and a psychiatrist. She is prescribed a drug that begins to erode the block in her memory. Her conscious and subconscious begin to switch places between the present and past at the most inopportune times; causing more chaos in her already chaotic teenage life.

She has already lost everyone she holds dear in her past and now these same horrors endangers everyone in her present as she is no longer hidden from Diana and her evil experiments incarnate.

La Rouge Hotte (The Red Hood) Synopsis

In a post apocalyptic world a corp of bio weaponized red cloaked women hunt down and destroy were-animals to save what is left of the human population as decreed by the vampire protectorate that governs this god-forsaken world

The Red Hood Corp hunts down the werewolves and other were-animals that they’ve been told are trying to conquer them and their world. That is not the truth. The vampires had created a virus using DNA from various animals to genetically enhance their human food source. It went wrong and begins to turn the humans into various were-animals contaminating the human genome world wide. Apocalypse ensues.

As their food stock is tainted the vampires form a security force to control the outbreak and keep the virus free humans from being contaminated as the vampires cannot ingest were-animal blood. The hood corps are made of young women who have the ability to adapt to a living metal that the vampires have discovered. The metal can be psychically controlled and fused to their body as a weapon only limited by the imagination.

Roulsel is the young woman in the red hood corps that is the link to the source of the bio-metal believed to come to them transdimensionally. Her red hood allows her to control the trans-metal with the help of all the hoods past owners whose essence is infused in it. They help her in the hope that they can once again control the red hood for themselves.

But the beings from the other dimension are trying to strike back because the incursions into their home world to get the bio-metal are causing havoc. The beings take or kill the red corp women when they can with the goal of crossing over to Roulsels world for revenge and domination. The red hood is the gateway between the dimensions and they plan to storm it.

Roulsel also happens to be the first human to be freed from the “were” virus and thus coveted by the master vampire and is to be a concubine. The master vampires son is secretly in love with Roulsel. Roulsel discovers the master vampires obsession with her and that they have been lying to her all along about the “weres”.

Roulsel runs away from being a concubine and the serving in the corp. The vampires cannot afford to lose such a valuable commodity and send the security forces to retrieve her and also put a huge bounty on her head.

Her last use of the red hood has given Roulsel amnesia. She has to re-discover herself while she travels discovering a whole new “were” world that does not trust her but is always looking for her.
