It's the time of year when all the fruit does that ripening thing. It all gets lovely and edible. Next to us is a field that isn't really used for anything due to the rather deep drainage ditches running across it. It was once an orchard although now there are really only four trees that do anything in the way of producing fruit. Of those four ancient trees, only two produce any quantity of fruit. One apple and one pear. In this film, the lovely Jo (you can tell this blurb is being written by Ian, Jo being far too modest to describe herself as lovely) wanders out into the field, through the drainage ditch, and plucks some lovely ripe apples from the tree. I feel that I should point out that if she didn't do this they would simply be left to rot on the ground. Poor apples.
