I usually try to get at least two patreon works done in a month, preferably four; however, this month I'm busy with the sort of thing that doesn't work well in a Patreon format. You see, I'm doing a Camp NaNoWriMo session with the express aim to complete the first draft of the sequel to Wolfbound at long last. I'm a little behind at the moment, but still going strong, and I've gotten further than I ever have before.
However, when outlining in preparation for the event, I went back and re-read Wolfbound to remind myself of some of the minor plot details I needed to reference. Wolfbound was my best work to-date when I wrote it, but that was some years ago. While re-reading, I finally managed to put my finger on something that had been bothering me for quite a while. I re-wrote the intro, and then added a few scenes to flesh out the book a bit more, and then I had to rework the scenes in between... long story short, I've pushed an update to Smashwords and Kindle with the first 2/3 of the story pretty heavily reworked. It's still the same story, but a bit better written :)
If your ebook reader does not pick up the update, or if you purchased a paper copy, send an email to jane at janebaileybooks.com and I'd be happy to send you a coupon for a free copy of the updated ebook.
If you haven't read it, I can now recommend doing so :) I've attached a free sample of the new opening so you can see if you'd like it.
Stay tuned, as I'm now working with an artist on redesigning the covers of both books. The first previews look a-mazing!
