Hello Patrons! Thanks so much for your patience with my busy spring. I'm back reviewing and there are lots of great books in our mutual future!
In July I reviewed 44 books, plus I deal-hunted the Kindle book deals for July.
If you're going to read one book I reviewed this month, make it The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August.
Here's an excerpt from my review:
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August follows Harry August, who can only time travel the hard way: each time he dies, he is reborn on the same day as his original birth, but with all the memories of his previous lives. His first few lives are terrifying, but eventually he meets a society of people who are just like him, and who have found ways to adapt. Eventually, though, a message is passed back from the future, life by life, that the world will end – and only Harry August can save it. The narration is masterful; Harry isn’t precisely an unreliable narrator, but the way he tells his story is deeply enmeshed with the psychological difficulties of his experiences. I stayed up way too late reading this one. Highly recommended.
