Last month's Monster of the Month theme was to design a Green Magic spell, an entirely new kind of magic! We had a LOT of really neat and well thought out suggestions for Green Magic, and choosing just one was tougher than usual. In fact, we may return to some of these suggestions in the future to create a whole Green Magic Spell Book! This time we chose The Mushroomancer's submission as our "Monster of the Month".
Every month Yeld patrons can create and submit a monster or idea based on a theme we provide. We'll choose our favorite, create official rules and art for everyone to use!

The nature of Green Magic (created by The Mushroomancer)
If you've gazed up at Yeld's night sky, you're sure to have seen it. A distant speck that flickers gently. An emerald aurora rippling across the atmosphere; this is Green Magic. It drifts across the stars, searching for hospitable environments rich in life and magic, where it can cultivate and eventually absorb all it infects, connecting the entire universe into one united consciousness. It seems at odds with Yeld; drawn to the power and energy the magical land radiates, only to be repelled at the edges of Yeld's domain. A few stray particles manage to invade, dust clinging to cosmic debris and Goblin crafts crashing in from above, most of which is promptly snuffed out by the magics already present in Yeld. Only the Rainbow Sage Orfo has managed to gather enough green magic to forge a true spell, sealed carefully within the pages of a single grimoire.
Mind Hive (Exotic Green Spell)
Green magic manifest as tiny spores, floating through the air, connecting the life and thoughts of every being it touches. With this magic you can reach out and place your mind in the body of another creature. But beware! Your empty body is a tempting vessel for your enemies!
Effect: Chose 1 living Monster on the Action Board as the target of this spell. During the next Round the caster will control the target Monster, deciding how to use its Action and Move. The caster may also choose to use the Monster's Food items and Banked Actions. The caster cannot use the Monster to attack, cast a spell or otherwise target the caster.
The Monster gains the same control over the caster. This effects of this spell end at the end of the Round.
Cost: Can be acquired as a Spell Scroll from the Treasure Table, or as a Spell Book from the Heroic Treasure table. May be bought as a Spell Scroll from Mad Marvin or Goblin Merchants for Tons of Coins. This spell can be added to a Spell Book by a Mastercrafter for the cost of 1 Mind Hive Spell Scroll and Lots of Coins.
