For some reason this one wants to just be painted. It doesn't want everything figured out first beyond the basic generalities. It wants to be discovered as I paint. I plan to do it in thick, meaning opaque acrylics, rather than the usual way I use acrylics, i.e. in cautious washes like watercolor built up over time. So accordingly I've only sketched the basics in as guidelines, like the 45 degree angles of the branches so I don't get off base with things.
This is definitely not how I usually work (and I'm kind of trying not to freak out about such things as where the neckline of Her dress ends and Her skin begins) but it's what it wants. All right.
