Lady Macbeth

Here is the nearly-final version of the March portrait. Lady Macbeth, from Verdi's opera Macbeth. -Yes, that is the Macbeth ancient tartan.

This portrait was a tremendous amount of fun, involving a good bit of research. (I looked up everything from medieval stained glass, to native Scottish gemstones in the never-ending quest for authenticity /plausibility!)

She has the distinction of being the first redhead in this series!

This painting is 24" x 24" acrylic on a gallery-wrapped canvas. (Unfortunately, I know of no possible way to  also display the sides.)
