To celebrate, I'll be offering a sneak peek of an unedited short story that takes place after TLOTA to all of my ever-supportive Ardents next month.
In the meantime, here are some fun facts about Year One of my journey as a career author:
It took three proofs to make sure the paperback was ready, so while the ebook went live on July 31st, the paperback was delayed til later in August.
I still have the one I practiced signing my author autograph in, my grandmother bought one from me directly, and I accidentally sold one during a family reunion. Oops! Luckily the only difference is that the final page says PROOF COPY and the spine has a sliver of orange spilling over from the front cover.
The highest The Last of the Ageless ever climbed in the post-apocalyptic category was during launch -- it reached the top 50 with a rank of 46! The highest it reached in the entire Kindle store was #3,024, which I'm very proud of!

I've made ebook sales in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, France, and as of last month, India!
In its first year, The Last of the Ageless had 713 total readers!
To calculate total readers, I estimated based off Kindle Unlimited pages read, dividing by the number of pages Amazon considers The Last of the Ageless to have (thus, about 70 KU readers). Then I added ebook and paperback sales.
I also sold 115 short story ebook copies, even though these are free for people who sign up to the Vanguard
(I recently renamed the boring New Releases Newsletter to the Vanguard!)
The Last of the Ageless will finally move out of Kindle Unlimited (where you pay a subscription to read "free" books) and into iBooks, Kobo, Nook, etc. starting next month! (Tell your iPhone friends!) It'll still be available on Kindle, but not Kindle Unlimited. I can't wait to see how it does on these other platforms!
