Hello, everyone. I'd like to say that I think breaking into the art world is going to be a lot more difficult than I first imagined, especially if I want to make any money at it. One of my biggest challenges is time, since I am currently working a straight job and I need to parcel out what little time I have left over to all my various projects. In the past I've had some serious tendencies towards disorganization, so another challenge has been gathering up all my stuff so that I can have it scanned and displayed. Oh, and money! Money is always a challenge. They (whoever 'they' are) say that it takes money to make money, and if that's true, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I think I may be 'into' too many things, as well. Art-wise, I draw in pencil and in ink, using whatever subjects catch my fancy. One of my absolute favorite things is Dia de los Muertos, and I like to draw sugar skulls in ink, scan them, and then add color using the appropriate software/hardware. I also want to start making skull pillows, and I've already made one Catrina doll using paper clay but am now learning to make cloth dolls, some of which may find themselves as Catrinas. I also love making children's clothing, and I crochet scarves and needle-felt animals and things from wool roving. So, you see, I am going in many directions. Did I also mention that I'm a musician and a writer? Yeah, those, too. So, let's see what I can do here. I'm going to try to stick to a theme, probably sugar skulls, at least to begin with. Any support will be much appreciated!
