This week's new episode is finally here! I deeply love MAURICE, and it was such a pleasure to bring you this episode. I talk about E.M. Forster a bit, who wrote the novel that the book is based on. I also talk about Merchant Ivory Productions, the making of the film, and, of course, share my in-depth analysis of why this film is so important to me. Among many things, I argue that this film is an important celebration of queer love, especially considering the fact that it came out in 1987 during the height of the AIDS epidemic. I don't feel that MAURICE gets quite the love it deserves, but I hope my episode inspires you to watch the film or to see it in a new way.
