Happy #lizardtuesday , everyone! This week, since I'm in Scotland and I have an Edinburgh library card now (EEE!!!) I decided to learn more about national animals. So here you are: another animal I want as a pet. Highland cattle-the well equipped livestock of Scotland with short legs, blizzard-withstanding long coats, and stomach that can digest everything. Apples, twigs, wool socks, you name it! They are a symbol of Scotland, on everything from postcards to candy; they're mild-mannered and complacent, and King Edward VII kept his own herd of bullocks-just because. Highland Cattle, or kyloes, can now be found around the world on farms in North America to Australia and their babies look like they just stepped out from a giant air dryer. SO CUTE!!
