The Final Fantasy Project: Final Fantasy IV, part 7
Apparently, collecting all of the Crystals will open the path to the moon, which Golbez thinks is super important. Kain also has the Magma Stone, which he's sure can be used to enter the Underworld, although he's not sure how or when or why or any of that stuff.
Lots of dumb plans!
To be fair to the developers here, Final Fantasy as a franchise has always featured dumb plans. Dumb plans are a series staple. It's just that the scope of these particular dumb plans are often baffling in and of themselves, which makes the whole thing just a wee bit harder to swallow. And considering that I don't particularly care for any of the characters herein, well, that's not a good state of affairs for Cecil and company, is it? Expect the next few installments to talk a little more about the systems of the game or lack thereof, as I realized I've been leaning kind of heavily on the plot. Hey, it's a plot-heavy portion, what can I say? Enjoy!
