This time we explore a simple but effective meditation designed to use emotional states to induce lucidity.
During our dreams, the areas of the brain known for logical and analytical thought, such as the prefrontal cortex, are subdued. However, areas responsible for emotions, such as the amygdala, remain active. This meditation aims to develop a habit of inducing a logical response when strong emotions occur during our waking hours. Over time, this training should transfer to the dreaming state and help increase our chances of lucidity.
