Karen just finished her documentary, Beep: A Documentary History of Game Sound, this year. In it, Karen interviewed the droves of individuals around the world who advanced the art of game music from the very beginning to the next gen games. Sam and I were lucky enough to get to see the premiere of Beep while we were at GDC in San Francisco, and we loved it.
Check it out if you have a chance; it'll be available to buy in September.
Our other guest this week is Kole Hicks, who wrote a truly fabulous score for the game Kenshi. Kenshi is in beta on Steam after a lengthy development process with more to do before it's ready, but Kole's music is done and available to hear and buy. He worked with ridiculously talented musicians and found ample opportunities to highlight their mad skills. It's neat, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
