This is our second strip.  After I wrote the first strip, Sterling suggested I'd do a follow up.  Since the vending machine was upset about the previous incident, it would be hilarious to see him moping about it.  We are introduced to a character I named Bernie trying to get a soda from Sodamatic.  He's given a diet soda.  It's a reference to when back in 2003, I had friends who were diabetic and had developed a habit of drinking diet soda, which in hindsight isn't as healthy.  My grandma was diabetic, so I came up with this cautionary strip with a sense of satire.  Robots don't understand the concept of sensitivity and feel being blunt is the proper way.  That notion leads to a lot of potential.  This strip wasn't published in the SFSU newspaper, since it was deemed insensitive to people with obesity or diabetic.  However, many people, including my diabetic friends thought it was hilarious.  They sort of vending machines could do something like that.  This strip is not to bare ill-will to people with obesity, but to raise awareness.  Hope you enjoy this strip.
