A nice thing about MM's dialogue being in a different color of balloon is that I think I can get away with having fewer tails on them, since that can maybe get awkward when there's multiple balloons of the same dialogue paragraph, like I have here in panel 1. Don't have to have tails actually connecting them together, which would cover up more of the art and take more time to put in place. I think it works that Jones' words are just kinda floating on their own, and the direction can be understood as implied.

On the other hand, in panel 3, I gave MM a big ol' dialogue tail, hoping that it could double as a directional speed line to emphasize the sharp turn of his head, since I don't allow any actual motion lines in the art, to give it a more grounded look and feeling.
