Mandisa Thomas: Black Nonbeliever
One of the missions I have as a producer/activist is to highlight various people and organizations that are doing important work to promote rationality.

Last year, we did a podcast called "The Rise of Black Secularism" (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thethinkingatheist/2014/04/08/the-rise-of-black-secularism), and it was fascinating - and a bit troubling - to see how closely many in the black community see a rejection of religion as a rejection of race and culture.

Mandisa Thomas is president of Black Nonbelievers, Inc, and she took a few minutes to address the challenge...and how BN is reaching out as a support mechanism for the apostate and skeptic.  -Seth
