March, 2014. Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Dakota.

The park was devoid of other humans, but the bison didn't mind the temperature.

This park is just south of a concentration of Bakken Shale oil producing wells. Any effect the oil production infrastructure has on the neighboring area will impact this bison's herd and any neighboring human communities.

If you're interested in advocating for the well being of fellow humans and the world we live in, there are resources and possibilities listed partway through this post: http://nativeappropriations.com/2016/11/nodapl-updates-resources-and-reflections.html
