March Theme + Tarot Deck Update ☾☆

Hello lovelies,

March's collection is going to be "Celestial Follies: Star, Moon, & Sun." The collection will feature brand new illustrations of The Star, The Moon, and The Sun tarot cards. Plus lots of coordinating celestial doodles. Everyone seemed to LOVE February's Cosmic Unicorn theme - it's a daunting task to try to top it, to be honest, but I shall do my best!

I do not have an enamel pin or notebook for this month's Whimsybox, but I have some ideas for some fun goodies I can create myself. Planning out themes and getting products manufactured in time has been challenging and there has definitely been a learning curve, but I've started working ahead on some designs for May & summer and have some really cool products in the pipeline I can't wait to share with you!

A lot of you already know this, but for those of you who don't: I've been "working on" a tarot deck. And by "working on" I mean I have named the deck (Celestial Follies) and reserved the instagram handle @celestialfolliestarot, but have such a long way to go. A tarot deck has 78 cards and I want everything to be cohesive, so it's taking a lot of planning. I have almost nothing completed. Illustrating new themes for Whimsymail each month & managing my shop keeps me plenty busy. But I desperately want to create this deck and put it out into the world. Completing my tarot deck (this year, ideally!) is so important to me and I need to put my foot on the gas to make it happen. So I figured I'd work tarot into this month's theme so I can multitask and get some momentum going with my deck. I'm ready to adopt a "done is better than perfect" mentality and Get. It. Done. Wish me luck!

I've finished The Sun tarot card illustration and am working on The Moon & The Star (sketches shown above). I'm planning to do a silver/blue vibe for The Moon and a soft golden glow for The Star, but we'll see what happens once I start playing with color. Sometimes I end up doing something entirely different than planned, so we shall see! Any ideas for color palettes?

Thank you so much for all of your support & kind words. You are the nicest people and I'm honored to share my art with you! xoxo
