Metalsucks Podcast #148 - Christina Scabbia
Cristina Scabbia, lead singer for Lacuna Coil guests this week and in our in depth interview we talk about their new Century Media album Delirium. Their eighth studio album over a 20-plus year career and the first to be totally self-produced,  Cristina talks about their relationship and experiences with past producers and the pressures the band has been under leading up the album's release, plus where the inspiration for lyrical themes on this album stem from, some metaphorical, others delve into personal relationships with mental illness, and how they might differ from her bandmates take on them. We also discover how she maintains her voice and stage presence after over two decades with one band, her relationship with her parents and the fascination with thrift stores.

We also discuss a very common word that we may or may not need to take out of our vocabulary (especially as Chuck is 'blank' for Nails), we might need your advice on whether or not we can keep using this word in this context. We also examine how the botched launch of the Prophets of Rage turned our internet feeds into a frenzy of activity, but for the wrong reasons. Controlling your message, whether it is even possible for a band like Rage Against the Machine or did they simply underestimate the appetite for a reunion their fans are craving? Zach de la Rocha may be having the last laugh, until he hears our idea for the one dude on earth who would be more interesting and would draw bigger crowds, or has he just let himself go and doesn’t want to be seen in public?
