Monthly Giveaway and Sneak Peek!
Hello everyone! I am posting in this in the midst of a flu and also moving, which is why this is later than I would like. Thank you so much for your support! I have big plans for the Lesbrary and the rest of my online life in 2017, but moving and recovering from the flu have been frustrating setbacks.

Not to worry! I'm almost better now, and I have lots of plans for videos, posts, and improvements to the Lesbrary! (Including an exciting move planned from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, which will give me a lot more control over the layout.)

As an apology for not yet being able to make the videos I have been planning, I thought I would give you a sneak peek of my next one! It's my top ten books of 2016.

In 10th place, I have Kim & Kim Vol 1, a comic about a team of 2 kick-ass women, both named Kim, who are bounty hunters in space!! It's super fun, and one of main characters is trans! (And both, I believe, are queer.)

#9: Chain Mail Bikini by Hazel Newlevant! This is a graphic novel anthology all about women gamers, and it covers a diversity of both games and art styles.

#8: Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. I don't read a lot of self help books, but this is not what I would expect from an advice column. It tackles huge, devestating topics. It really shows how to live in a world that can be both cruel and beautiful.

#7: Through the Woods by Emily Carroll: I have a lot of graphic novel favourites this year! Through the Woods are horror-esque fairy tale retellings, which I always love, but it's the art that I found absolutely arresting. I could flip to almost any page and want it framed on my wall.

#6: Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler: This is a chillingly accurate dystopian novel written in the early 90s. Octavia Butler's books are always a) emotionally devestating and b) intensely thought-provoking, and this duology delivers in both respects.

Stay tuned for my upcoming video to see my top 5!

Now, that brings us to the monthly giveaway winner! This month's winner is... (drumroll) Emily P.! Thank you, Emily! I'll message you with the books available for you to choose from!

Thanks again, everyone!
