Moth and Rust Corrupt

No one remembers what's left scattered on the table. Your memories are never arranged, they're just dumped in a spare space and left sitting until moth and rust corrupt them. Mildew and mold is the story of time passing, where a stack of cards slowly shuffles the present in a trick of the past, and every last deal of the deck turns our best laid plans up a joker. It was good while it lasted, we had a blast in the forest, but the trees like the sea surely reclaim anything in their path. It won't be long before this sight is unseen, the roof comes caving in, and all our virtues and sins turn to silence. This is my attempt at remembrance, the last of the grand gestures...
