Mountain West Basketball Top 25: #17
by Eli Boettger

Next up is the seventeenth-ranked player in the MWC Wire Basketball Countdown.

Nevada's starting point guard, Lindsey Drew, checks in at the #17 spot after another productive season in Reno. Drew does a lot for the Wolf Pack, which can be explained by his nightly averages of 5.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.2 steals. He was one of only 41 players in the entire country to average a slash line of 5/4/4/1 last season.

Drew is not a volume scorer, but he isn't supposed to be one, either. Nevada already has its high-usage offensive players in Jordan Caroline and Caleb Martin. Drew does a little bit of everything, instead. He led the entire MWC in assists per game in 2016-17, and also finished in the top 10 in steals per game, blocks per game, and minutes per game. He recorded 11 games last year in which he tallied at least five points and five assists. Expect another highly productive season out of the leader of the Pack.
