Mr. Gorbachev, Tear Down This Paywall?
I've been weighing the merits of rewards, patron-only content, etc., versus a pay-what-you-can, everyone gets the same thing kind of deal. On one hand, I've come to feel that a two-tier system is unfair to readers. I would rather have a system where donations "subsidize" readers who can't pay, vs. a system where donators get extra stuff. On the other hand, it kind of sucks to be like "Hey, I promised you X things for $Y, now you just have to pay $Y out of the goodness of your heart." It would be totally fair for people to decide not to be patrons any more, or opt for one-time Paypal donations instead.

So, patrons (and anyone else reading this)…what do you think?
