My current-combis-upload part 1
Here's my current combi-PCG for the Korg Kross 61. It contains the following new combis. Please note that this post does not contain the actual PCG upload, it will be in the very NEXT post . Which is for patrons only.

033: Hike and Seed

You can play Howard Jones' "Hide and Seek" with that. If you are not familiar with that song, I highly recommend it. Go listen to it. It's great. Here a the combi's spex:

- arp type: no arps used

- step sequencer: main drums

- C2 to B2: bass

- C3 to C#4: atmo strings

- D4 to C6: main lead

034: A Few Beers to Kill

I used that for practizing to play Duran Duran's A View to a Kill. I wouldn't use it for playing the song to an audience, because I think it's not good enough for that. But hey, it's a free country! Do whatever you like with it!

- arp type: hold (meaning you have to hold the key to play the arps)

- step sequencer: main drums

- E2 to E3: main accompaniment

- F3: effect

- C4 to F#5: orchestral hit

- G5 to C6: main lead

035: ZZ Tab

This is supposed to sound like ZZ Top's "Legs". The arp type is latch, meaning that you only have to tab the key to trigger the arp, but ... wait a moment. I think the word is not "tab", but "tap", right? You "tap" a key, right? The "tab" is something you have to pay in the pub, right? Haha. I spelled the name of the combi wrong. :D

Forgive me that, ich bin nur deutsch eigentlich. As I was saying, TAP a key to trigger the accompaniment, but also play a rhythmic guitar  at the same time on the same key.

- arp type: latch + rhythmic guitar

- step sequencer: main drums

- C2: crash cymbal

- D2: snare drum

- E2 to E3: main accompaniment

- F3 to C6: solo guitar

- extras: the pitch bend only affects the solo guitar

036: CombiFromOuterSpace

Well, it's no secret that the Synthesaurus is an alien from another planet in another dimension. That's where I got this combi from. You can play 80s instrumental space pop with it.

- arp type: latch + phaser strings

- step sequencer: main drums

- C2: 50s UFO effect

- C#2: laser gun effect

- D2: space wind effect

- E2 to E3: main accompaniment

- C3 to C6: main lead

037: Generic Dance

It's a generic dance combi. Hence the title. Play whatever you want with it. I use it to sketch song ideas.

- arp type: latch + synth quitar

- step sequencer: main drums

- C2: crash cymbal

- E2 to E3: main accompaniment

- F3 to E4: strings

- F4 to C6: main lead

- extras: the main lead piano has a stereo delay effect

038: THE FUTURE!

Basically another 80s instrumental space pop combi. But: You are not supposed to hold the key in the accompaniment section. You are supposed to play that rhythmically. Got that?

- arp type: hold

- step sequencer: main drums

- C2 to B3: main accompaniment

- C3 to C6: main lead

039: Rocking the Kross

Uptempo rock combi. You know. For rocking the Kross.

- arp type: latch

- step sequencer: main drums

- E2 to E3: main accompaniment

- F3 to C6: main lead

- extras: the pitch bend only affects the solo guitar

These combis only use preset sounds!

That means: If you download this PCG, and your Kross still has all the factory preset sounds in place, you DO NOT NEED to load my whole PCG. You can SELECT my new combis to individually load from the PCG file. That's what a nice guy the Synthesaurus is: I have YOUR CONVENIENCE in mind even WHILE programming new combis! Damn, I'm good.

In case you are wondering a few other things

Eg. "Why can't I download those totally awesome combis?" Well, sharing my sounds and combis is my way of saying THANK YOU to my patrons. That's why.

Or you may ask yourself "Why are you telling us about those awesome combis, when we can't have them anyway?!" Well, in marketing, that is called a "teaser".

Or you may ask yourself "I want to learn how to program those kinda awesome combis myself!". In that case, the Synthesaurus can help you, too. Here's my video tutorial series about the Korg Kross. If you watch that carefully, and actively REPEAT the things on YOUR Kross I demonstrate in my videos step by step, you should be able to program awesome sounds and combis in no time.

There are some people out there who learned from those videos. And amongst those people, there are SOME people who thought "Oh well, those videos were actually very useful to me! How can I thank the maker of those videos?" Those people are my patrons.

And for thanking them BACK for thanking me, I share my Kross stuff with them. So we're all fine and happy!
