My first Patreon milestone

It's the first of the month, which means my the first round of Patron pledges are being processed and it's time to review what's happening here on Patreon!

With this being the first crowd-funding project I've undertaken, there is a lot for me to learn and one glaring error I've realised is that I managed to put every post on this page as 'patron only'.  This seemed like a good idea at the time, but it also means that every potential Patron who has come along to have a look didn't see anything that I've been up to!

So for now, Patreon is going to become my standard blog, open to the public, with additional material just for my Patrons, which brings me to the big question - what kind of thing do you want to see more of as Patron-only content?  Sketches?  Regular, mid-process shots of my paintings?  Tutorials?  Photos of me in funny hats?  Let me know what you want to see more of and I'll get to work.

It's also time to choose a winner for the opening month commission competition.  The prize is, of course, a free digital painting commission by me (for the curious, a street value of somewhere between £200 and £600).  However, to make sure any issues with processing pledges can be ironed out, I'll be keeping you in suspense until Monday to find out who the lucky prize winner is.

Meanwhile, I will be working on the early supporter reward piece and feeling happy about how awesome my Patrons are for helping me to keep making "creepy, but awesome" work.
