I've gotten several requests on reading material that Non Natives and others can delve into for a better understanding into Indigenous existence, allyship and the like. So here it is.
This will be a dynamic Patreon, as I will add notable resources I feel are required reading for anyone seeking to be a better ally (more preferably a race traitor but whatevs), or seek to better understand what colonialism is and its impact on individuals that fall within the scope of colonization (which at this point is a good majority of the world).

The True Story of Pocahontas: The Other Side of History

T. Custalow; and grandfather, the late Mattaponi Chief George F. Custalow; and those that came before. The Mattaponi Indian Tribe, along with the Pamunkey Tribe, was one of the original core tribes of the Powhatan Chiefdom, which the English colonists encountered in the 17th century while establishing Jamestown. For nearly 400 years people have heard the Euro-American rendition and interpretation of events that transpired between the English colonists and the Powhatan Indians. " Over the past forty years, recognition has become the dominant mode of negotiation and decolonization between the nation-state and Indigenous nations in North America. The term “recognition” shapes debates over Indigenous cultural distinctiveness, Indigenous rights to land and self-government, and Indigenous peoples’ right to benefit from the development of their lands and resources.
In a work of critically engaged political theory, Glen Sean Coulthard challenges recognition as a method of organizing difference and identity in liberal politics, questioning the assumption that contemporary difference and past histories of destructive colonialism between the state and Indigenous peoples can be reconciled through a process of acknowledgment. " In 1761 and again in 1768, European scientists raced around the world to observe the transit of Venus, a rare astronomical event in which the planet Venus passes in front of the sun. In The Transit of Empire, Jodi A. Byrd explores how indigeneity functions as transit, a trajectory of movement that serves as precedent within U.S. imperial history. Byrd argues that contemporary U.S. empire expands itself through a transferable “Indianness” that facilitates acquisitions of lands, territories, and resources.
Examining an array of literary texts, historical moments, and pending legislations—from the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma’s vote in 2007 to expel Cherokee Freedmen to the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization bill—Byrd demonstrates that inclusion into the multicultural cosmopole does not end colonialism as it is purported to do. Rather, that inclusion is the very site of the colonization that feeds U.S. empire.
Byrd contends that the colonization of American Indian and indigenous nations is the necessary ground from which to reimagine a future where the losses of indigenous peoples are not only visible and, in turn, grieveable, but where indigenous peoples have agency to transform life on their own lands and on their own terms."
"Today in the United States, there are more than five hundred federally recognized Indigenous nations comprising nearly three million people, descendants of the fifteen million Native people who once inhabited this land. The centuries-long genocidal program of the US settler-colonial regimen has largely been omitted from history. ***A note about Roxanne: There have been conversations about how Roxanne claims Indigenous identity but is not actually Indigenous. Despite this, several continue to endorse the content in her book. Worth a read, if only for the citations.
Frantz Fanon is one of the greatest minds when it comes to the topic of colonization and the psychology behind it. Although it is not North American Indigenous-based, Fanons' commentaries are particularly relevant to any people who have experienced colonization and I consider his work to be the foundation for commentary around decolonization.

The Wretched of the Earth is a brilliant analysis of the psychology of the colonized and their path to liberation.
