Nadine Bariteau "After making large installations I like to go back to the intimacy of printmaking"
This is my thrid filming artist in 401 richmond. I was invited to Open Studio an artist-run printmaking centre, where many old printing machines are in use. The beautiful silver printed paper is laying on the big table, shimmering under the light. She said that’s the true colour of ocean.

Nadine start to working on a print for me to film, she got this elegant way of making every process. I love how she use q tip draws the waves, slowly and gently.

This print is based on an old photo of her swimming in the ocean. There is a salmon on her back. She expressed her love for salmon since they have a unique life cycle. When she was whispering the story about salmon, I thought I heard the sound of waves.
