NaNoWriMo Day 11
This is a bit of a late post, because I haven't actually written anything today. Mostly because I've been busy walking here, there and everywhere, but also because...

DAY TEN

Jesral grinned. “Now that is a very clever trick.”
Burning Sky, Chapter 22

Day Total: 4215 words
NaNo Total: 42,562 words
Book Total: 88,288 words

I finished Burning Sky!

NaNoWriMo GOAL ACHIEVED!

The daily total should have been higher, because I wrote one version of the big climax and then immediately rewrote it, so it should probably be between 500-1000 words more, and I'm still not entirely happy with.

But who cares? The book is done! The book I was starting to believe would never get done. The book I almost believed would haunt me for the rest of my days. The book I thought I should probably throw out and start again with an entirely different plot that probably wouldn't match up to the Wingborn books and thus would derail the entire world.

That book. That book is done.

Thank the muses and the scribes and the convoluted corridors of my imagination.

Needless to say, after all that...

DAY ELEVEN

Zero, zip, zilch.

Which is perfectly fine by me. I'm not too sure if I'll get anything done tomorrow either, because I have a lot of things that need catching up with (like housework). I also know I should probably head straight into the next Dragonlands book, but I'm not sure I want to. I need to, because momentum is everything with this series, and it might help me unlock why I'm unhappy with the ending I've written so far, but we'll see.

For now I need sleep and to read something that hasn't got any dragons in it at all.

Phew.

Here's hoping your own weekend is going well.
